A Valentine’s Day Dinner

This dinner had to be awesome – Astrology Zone said that my best days to invite friends over are February 5, 12, 14, or 17.  Feb 14th it is!  Is it a problem that the 14th is also Valentine’s Day?  Absolutely not.  Party time.  Excellent.

And… to second that party time excellent notion, Cassandra and myself, the creativity queens, throwing a party together?  Thebombdotcombackslashawesome.

romantic dinner table

With pom poms in abundance (yes, I went a tad overboard) and gorgeous cloth napkin bows and purple chair bows from Cassandra, the table was perfect.  Set for seven lovely amazing people.

Cassandra?  Good call on the linguine.  I’m a mayjah fan.

The Asparagus & Gruyere Tart was so amazing, it’s going to get it’s own post.  Just warning you.

Oh and ohemfreakinggee the Greek Yogurt Gelato was super yum.  Not quite the same flavor as the European Yogurt Gelato from Pazzo Gelato I was trying to emulate, but it certainly certainly did the trick.

Delicious

It was a lot of steps for ice cream, but… totally worth it.  Slightly tart.  Slightly sweet.  Completely delicious.  Especially when served with brownies and chocolate chip cookies from Fiona.

Thanks ladies for providing the champagne.

Happy Valentine’s Day kids
